FRISCO, Texas (Sept. 15, 2025) — The National League is pleased to announce the addition of Christian Velasquez as a League Manager. Velasquez will lead the management of National League divisions in the South and Southeastern regions of the United States.

With extensive experience in league management and operations at both the state and national levels, Velasquez brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role.

“We are very excited for Christian to join the National League, and we know his addition will help move the game forward across the South and Southeastern areas of the United States,” National League general manager Marc Frankland said. “He has worked closely with us for the last few years, and it’s great to have him as an official part of our team. He’s hit the ground running and is working to elevate the experience for the clubs, teams and players in each of the leagues.”

Velasquez enters his role with the National League after most recently serving as the Director of Competitions for Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA), where he managed the day-to-day operations of all state leagues and tournaments, and played a key part in the management of the National League’s Sunshine divisions. He also acted as the primary liaison between affiliate leagues and the state association office and was responsible for the growth and retention of participating teams within FYSA competitions.

Prior to his time with FYSA, Velasquez served as the Director of Operations for the USL Championship.

“I am very excited to get started with The National League and work with the existing clubs and teams to optimize their experience competing in our leagues,” Velasquez said. “With the refined structure of The National League offering pathways to postseason competitions and national events, there are great opportunities available for all players across the South and Southeast.”
