How to apply for Winter Events

Follow the steps below to apply for a National League Winter Event. If you encounter any issues or have questions, please contact Kelly Jenkins at kjenkins@usyouthsoccer.org.

WINTER EVENT APPLICATION PERIOD IS OPEN

Teams can apply for winter events now through July 7, 2025. All winter events are taking place at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.

November 2025 event: Boys (Oct. 31-Nov. 2); Girls (Nov. 7-9)
January 2026 event: Boys & Girls (Jan. 30-Feb. 1)

Note: A team may fill out applications for both events but, if accepted, will only be accepted into one event.

1. Navigate to https://registration.us.squadi.com/login.
2. Click “Create User Profile.”
3. Click “+ New Team Registration.“
4. Search for your club within the Organization Name drop down menu.
  • Please note:
    • If you cannot find your club, please select “Club Not Listed.”
    • Do not enter a postcode
    • Begin typing your club name in “Organization Name” to find it in the drop down list
5. Select the Winter Event for which you would like to apply.
Please note: there is one option for the November event and one option for the January event. Make sure you select the correct event.

6. Select the age group into which you are registering the team.

7. Click “Sign Up To Competition.”

8. Fill in YOUR participant details as the team’s admin.

At the bottom of this section, select NO for “Are you registerting as a player for this team?”

9. Emergency Contact section

This will be your own personal emergency contact. If you do not wish to enter contact details, you can put in N/A for First/Last and all zeroes for mobile number.

10. Type in your team name.
  • Note: DO NOT add in any team members at this point
  • See below for a guide for how to properly name your team.
Team Naming Guide

The team name should match your team name being used for the National League regular season.

Team names should follow this format: [Club] [Birth Year(s)] [Gender] [Identifier] [NL] [(State Abbreviation)]
Example: City FC 07/08B Green NL (TX-N)

  • Birth years – for single year, use two digits (09); for split years, use “##/##” (07/08)
  • Gender – attach a capital letter to the end of the birth year; “B” for boys or “G” for girls
  • Identifier – optional, if your club specifies teams by color, nickname, coach name, etc.
  • NL – the end of the team name must include “NL”
  • State abbreviation – put your two-letter state abbreviation in parentheses after your team name
    • (CA-N), (CA-S), (NY-E), (NY-W), (PA-E), (PA-W), (TX-N), (TX-S) for states that have two associations
11. After you have entered your team name, click “Next.”
12. Answer any registration questions required at this point.
13. For the Agreements and Acknowledgements section, you must open the link to view and read the Winter Event agreements before you can click the check box to continue.
14. After completing the registration questions, select “Sign Up To Competition.”
15. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and select “Continue.”
  • If you need to make edits to your application, DO NOT hit ‘Back’ on your browser. Use the ‘Edit’ option on this page. You can then filter through application using the linked headers.
16. Click “OK” on the pop-up.

17. Put in your payment details.

NOTE: The payment option you select (Direct Debit or Credit/Debit Card) will be the payment method that is charged at the time of your team’s acceptance.

17. When your payment details are entered, select “Submit.”
