View Results | Feature Videos | Event Photos

TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 28, 2024) — Five exciting days of action at National League P.R.O. in Tampa, Fla., saw 30 boys teams and 30 girls teams qualify for the 2024 USYS National Championships. Ten teams also claimed National League P.R.O. titles as winners of the champions pool in their age group.

The games in Tampa featured top teams in the 14U-19U age groups from the USYS National League’s club-based platform — Elite 64 — and team-based conferences, as each competing side earned its place in the event through its performance at playoff events earlier this season.

Many of the coaches and players talked about the value of proving themselves on the field and seizing the opportunities available to each team.

“It’s really exciting and fun to play in because you know the level of soccer is so high,” said Brandon Marquez of MSC Academy 05B (IL) after his team came back from a three-goal deficit to win and clinch a berth to the National Championships. “Anything that you’re going to do right now depends on you and depends on your team — if you’re going to Nationals or you’re not going to Nationals. It was a really important match for us and exciting to play in and come back.”

View All Qualifiers for Nationals

The action at National League P.R.O. was extremely competitive, as all games were decided by an average goal difference of just 1.84, and the games to decide berths to the National Championships often came down to the wire. The pool finals featured some of the most competitive matches of the event, as the average goal differential in those 26 games was just 1.07 and included nine penalty kick shootouts.

The 60 teams that qualified for the National Championships came from 22 different state associations, led by Illinois with seven qualifiers. Florida had five teams qualify for Nationals, while Kansas, Tennessee and Utah each had four qualifiers.

Twelve different clubs had multiple teams qualify for the National Championships. Greater Libertyville Soccer Association and Toca FC led the way, as they each had three teams advance to Nationals.

In addition to teams earning their place in the National Championships, six boys teams and six girls teams won tournament competition within the champions pool of their respective age groups to claim National League P.R.O. titles.

Champions Pool

With identical — and dominant — numbers across the board at the Conference Playoffs, Keystone FC Premier 10B (PA-E) and LI Slammers Boys 2010 Black (NY-E) are heading to Tampa with plenty of momentum. Each side won all three of its playoff games in December while scoring 12 goals and conceding just one.

Toca FC 10B Elite 64 will be another team to watch after it displayed resiliency in close games at the Elite 64 Playoffs. The Kansas side won each of its three games by a single goal, including a come-from-behind 2-1 win in the playoff title game.

Silver Pool

A couple of high-scoring sides to keep an eye on in this group play format will be Savannah United 10B Premier (GA) and Michigan Tigers 10B Elite 64 (MI). Savannah averaged three goals per game and came close to winning its group at the Conference Playoffs. Meanwhile, the Tigers won all of their games at the Elite 64 Playoffs and found the back of the net 16 times.

Wildcard Pool

Club Ohio 10B Elite 64 (OH) stood out at the Elite 64 Playoffs, where it won four games in four days to capture the wildcard pool’s berth to National League P.R.O. Ohio used organized defending as a key to its success, as it managed pressure from opponents while conceding no goals in Orlando.

Champions Pool

Past experiences suggest Columbus United G10 Lions (OH) will be a top contender for the Champions Pool title in Tampa. The defending USYS National Champions won all three games at the Conference Playoffs and did so without conceding a goal. They’ll look to continue their winning ways at National League P.R.O.

Columbus will be joined in Tampa by two more teams that went unbeaten at the Conference Playoffs, as BVB IA Pittsburgh 10G Premier (PA-W) and Team Challenger FC G10 Black (OH) will each look to build off strong performances.

North Shore United 10G Blue (WI) also brings plenty of confidence to Tampa after it won the champions pool at the Elite 64 Playoffs. The Wisconsin side displayed resiliency in winning three straight one-goal games to claim the event title. The title game featured a tight 2-1 win against WNY Flash Rochester 10G Elite 64 (NY-W), which will be another team to watch during the National League P.R.O. action in Tampa.

Wildcard Pool

After proving itself over the course of four wins in four days at the Elite 64 Playoffs, Elmbrook United 10G Elite 64 (WI) will look to continue to make a name for itself during the action in Tampa. The Wisconsin side earned a berth to National League P.R.O. by winning the wildcard pool last month in Orlando, and it did so under the pressure of a penalty kick shootout in its final game.

Coppermine SC 10G Elite 64 (MD) also enjoyed a strong showing at the Elite 64 Playoffs. After a narrow loss to eventual champions pool winner North Shore United, the Maryland side won back-to-back games and finished with a plus-four goal differential for the event.

Pateadores SC Nashville 08B (TN) also kept three clean sheets at the Conference Playoffs, as it picked up two victories and a draw to win its group.

At the Elite 64 Playoffs, PDA Hibernian 08B Elite 64 outlasted Toca FC 08B Elite 64 in a dramatic penalty kick shootout to claim the champions pool title. PDA’s ability to grind out victories will be an advantage in Tampa. Meanwhile, the shootout loss was a small blip on an otherwise strong showing for Toca, which won the 2023 Elite 64 National Finals title, and it shouldn’t be overlooked at National League P.R.O.

Silver Pool

Teams can’t overlook defending USYS National Champion Utah Celtic FC 08B (UT), which came a goal away from winning its playoff group. Sporting PA 2008 Boys (PA-E) also had a strong showing at the Conference Playoffs, as it went unbeaten and outscored opponents by five goals.

Champions Pool

A high-powered offense helped CT Rush Select 2006B (CT) go 3-0-0 at the Conference Playoffs while outscoring its opponents by 21 goals. A similar showing at National League P.R.O. will put opponents under immense pressure. Likewise, MSC Academy 05 (IL) and Galaxy SC 05B NL (IL) each won their three games in December at will aim to carry that form into National League P.R.O.

Oregon Premier 05/06B Elite 64 (OR) will be another team to watch in Tampa after it won the champions pool at the Elite 64 Playoffs. Two of its three wins came by three-goal margins, so Oregon’s confidence should be high heading to Tampa.

Silver Pool

Big games are nothing new for Libertyville FC 1974 05/06B Elite 64 (IL), which features several players from last year’s USYS National Championship-winning side. FC 1974 bounced back from a Day 1 loss at the Elite 64 Playoffs to win its next two games, and it will aim to continue that form in Tampa.

Another team hoping to pick up where it left off at the playoff level is BGFC Golden Lions Academy 2006 Gold (KY). The Lions recorded two clean sheets before narrowly falling, 2-1, to group winner CT Rush, and it will aim to get back on the winning track at National League P.R.O.

Wildcard Pool

Clutch performances in close games helped Utah Celtic FC 05/06B Elite 64 (UT) win four straight games — each by one-goal margins — at the Elite 64 Playoffs. That experience will benefit Utah at National League P.R.O. when it will encounter more must-win situations.

Champions Pool

Libertyville FC 1974 05/06G Elite 64 (IL) brings plenty of big-game experience to the field at National League P.R.O. The Illinois side won the 2022 USYS National Championship and was a finalist at the 2023 Elite 64 National Finals. FC 1974 heads to Tampa after winning the champions pool at the Elite 64 Playoffs, and it will be a challenge for any opponent.

After a dominant showing at the Conference Playoffs, JB Marine Thunder 2005G (MO) looks like it could challenge for the National League P.R.O. title. JB Marine won each of its games and outscored opponents, 16-to-0, in the process.

Chattanooga Red Wolves 06G (TN) and DMV FC 2006G Blue (VA) each displayed plenty of firepower of their own, as they scored 15 goals and 12 goals, respectively, while both going 3-0-0 at the December playoffs in Orlando. With plenty of attacking talent in the field, it should be an exciting competition for the top spot at National League P.R.O.

Silver Pool

After nearly winning its Conference Playoffs group and compiling a plus-six goal differential, JB Marine Garabedian 2006G (MO) could make some noise in the silver pool’s group at National League P.R.O. It will need to contend with Indiana Fire Academy 05/06G Elite 64 (IN), which put in three clutch performances at the Elite 64 Playoffs to leave with close victories in each of its games.

Wildcard Pool

After showing impressive consistency at the Elite 64 Playoffs, St. Croix 05/06 NL (MN) will be a team to keep an eye on during the action in Tampa. The Minnesota side won each of its games by two goals last month in Orlando en route to securing the wildcard pool’s berth to National League P.R.O.

National League P.R.O. schedule set for 2024 Florida event

FRISCO, Texas (Feb. 6, 2024) — The game schedule is now available for the USYS National League P.R.O. event taking place Feb. 23-27 in Tampa, Fla.

View Game Schedule

National League P.R.O. will feature boys and girls teams in the 14U through 19U age groups in Florida. The boys will play Feb. 23-26, and the girls will play Feb. 24-27. The games in Tampa will be played at the Tournament SportsPlex of Tampa Bay and SouthShore Sportsplex.

The teams playing at National League P.R.O. in Tampa will be competing for a chance to advance to the 2024 USYS National Championships, as each gender will see six teams per age group qualify for Nationals during the weekend.

“We are coming off several amazing playoff events, and we cannot wait for the best of Elite 64 and the National League Conferences to come together to play meaningful, high-level games at National League P.R.O.,” said Simon Collins, USYS National League Commissioner. “This is a truly unique competition in the youth soccer landscape, featuring both club-based and team-based competitors, and having spots to the National Championships on the line will only add to the excitement.”

The action in Tampa will include teams representing 28 different states. The field of competing teams will feature five defending USYS National Champions and one 2023 Elite 64 National Final champion.

Teams playing in Tampa are divided into pools within each age group, with pool placement based on performance from playoff events earlier this season. The Champions Pool features the top-performing teams, followed by the Silver Pool and then the Wildcard Pool. Visit the event homepage to view a breakdown of the pools.

National League P.R.O. features a primarily tournament/bracket style schedule. All age groups will see four teams qualify for the National Championships directly from the Champions Pool of National League P.R.O. The Silver Pool will qualify one team to the National Championships, and the Wildcard Pool will qualify one team to the National Championships. Qualification criteria may vary in certain age groups with fewer total teams.

The remaining National Championship qualifiers from the National League will be determined during the National League P.R.O. event in May in Oceanside, Calif.

ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 30, 2024) — Five exciting days of action at the Elite 64 Playoffs in Orlando, Fla., saw 45 boys teams qualify for National League P.R.O., while six sides claimed Playoff titles as the winners of the champions pool in their age group.

Elite 64 is the top club-based platform in the USYS National League. The Jan. 26-30 action took place at Austin Tindall Sports Complex, ChampionsGate Sports Complex and Heroes Park and featured more than 190 boys teams across the 13U-19U age groups.

For the 14U-19U age groups, the Playoffs represent the first of two stages of National League events, which provide every competing team with an opportunity to ultimately advance to the USYS National Championships. The 45 teams that earned advancement to the next stage — National League P.R.O. — will play Feb. 23-26 in Tampa, Fla., for a chance to qualify to the National Championships.

“The nice thing about Elite 64 is that every game matters,” said Club Ohio 10B Elite 64 coach Adam Jones after his team secured a spot in National League P.R.O. by winning the 14U Boys wildcard pool. “We’ve been a part of USYS for a really long time. We’re familiar with the format, whether it’s E64 or National League, the competition is always great. It pushes the boys to the best the best they can be.

“We have really good teams in our region, but to be able to play teams on a national level that push us — that’s something we’re always seeking.”

In addition to teams earning their place in National League P.R.O., six teams also won tournament competition within the champions pool of their respective age groups to claim Elite 64 Playoff titles.

Toca led all boys clubs by claiming three of the champions pool titles, while it also had another finalist and qualified all five possible teams for National League P.R.O. Toca FC Director of Coaching Jon Collett talked about the value the playoffs’ environment provided for their teams.

“It’s huge, especially for the older players,” Collett said. “You’re looking for the competition, but there’s also comradery. When they’re playing back-to-back and there’s a few games that went to PKs, the other teams were watching them and they ran off and celebrated together, which is great for the club.

“Competition-wise, it’s been good. All the teams from 2010s through 2005s have qualified for Tampa. It’s great for the club. It’s good exposure and good to play in the next round of competition in February.”

TITLE GAME RECAPS…

13U Boys
A pair of late goals helped Toca FC 10B Elite 64 (KS) pull away for a win against Galaxy SC 11B Elite 64 (IL) in a Midwest showdown to claim the 13U title. Galaxy took an early lead in the 12th minute through an Ethan Padilla goal. A Jaykel Bermudez reply came two minutes later off a rocket shot in the upper-90 to equalize. Bermudez capitalized on a 1-v-1 with the keeper to put Toca up 2-1 just before the half. The Kansas side struck again in the 57th minute through a breakaway by Tristan Zimmermann. Luke Arnett netted the last goal just before the final whistle, giving Toca the 4-1 win.

14U Boys
A tightly contested final saw Toca FC 10B Elite 64 (KS) come out victorious over Galaxy SC 10B Elite 64 (IL) in the 14U playoff final. With play going from end to end through the first half, the Illinois side was able to convert in the 41st minute with a goal by Nicolas Mason. Toca’s Easton Vacanti quickly replied in the 46th minute when he netted a goal of his own. The Kansas side’s Reid Williams added an insurance goal 20 minutes later to close out the game for a 2-1 Toca win.

15U Boys
A goal on either side of halftime helped Galaxy SC 09B Elite 64 (IL) to a 2-0 win over United FA 09B Elite 64 (GA) in the 15U title game. Logan Godfrey gave Galaxy an early lead with a goal in the sixth minute, and the Illinois side maintained that narrow advantage for the next 45 minutes of play. Mark Ndrio added an insurance goal in the 51st minute, and Galaxy held on the rest of the way to earn the 2-0 win.

16U Boys
The 16U Boys playoff final provided plenty of drama, as Toca FC 08B Elite 64 (KS) and PDA Hibernian 08B Elite 64 (NJ) needed penalty kicks to decide the winner. After a scoreless regulation, PDA goalkeeper Anthony Merluse fully extended to tip a Toca penalty attempt off the bar — providing a save that kept his side alive and extended the shootout. PDA’s Nicholas Angiolino later stepped up and slotted his attempt into the left side-netting to clinch the win and title for the New Jersey side.

17U Boys
Toca FC 07B Elite 64 (KS) won a thriller, 2-1 (PK), against Libertyville FC 1974-07B Elite 64 (IL) to win the 17U Boys playoff title. Neither side managed to break through until the 83rd minute, when FC 1974’s Ivan Sereno found the back of the net to put his side up, 1-0. Toca replied just two minutes later to tie the game, as Sergio Hernandez placed a shot inside the far post. The game went to penalties to decide the winner, and Toca won the shootout to secure the title.

19U Boys
After falling behind early in the championship game, Oregon Premier 05/06B Elite 64 (OR) fought back to secure a 4-1 win over United FA 06/05B Elite 64 (GA) to win the 19U playoff title. Carter Weems put United FA in front in the ninth minute, but a 21st-minute own goal helped Oregon level the score. Henry Catlin found the back of the net in the 53rd minute to give Oregon its first lead, and Jaden Igarta extended the advantage to 3-1 with a 75th-minute strike. Kian Mueller powered in a fourth goal for Oregon in the final minutes to cap the title-winning victory.

Elite 64 Playoffs (Florida) – Boys Preview

The boys kick off their Elite 64 Playoffs in Orlando, Fla., when more than 190 teams compete Jan. 26-30. Each age group features a champions pool, where teams will play in a tournament style to determine the event champion. In the 14U-19U age groups, teams in every pool are also competing for qualifying spots into the February National League P.R.O. event, where teams play to qualify for the 2024 USYS National Championships.

While teams in the 13U age group will see a Playoff winner crowned, the Playoffs primarily serve as an introduction to national events and do not include advancement in the 13U age group.

Take a look at some of the teams, games and players to watch in the 14U-19U Boys age groups during the Elite 64 Playoffs in Florida.

14U Boys

Oregon Premier 10B Elite 64 will be coming across the country to make some noise at the playoffs. Oregon finished in first in the Elite 64 Northwest last season, and it advanced to the championship game at the Elite 64 National Finals. That experience will make it a challenging match for any opponent in Florida.

Oregon Premier squeaked by United FA 10B Elite 64 when the teams met at the National Finals. That was a rare shortfall for the Georgia side, which won the Elite 64 Southeast last season and is unbeaten through 10 games in the current campaign. With that form, United FA should be a team to watch in Orlando.

Toca FC 10B Elite 64 and Galaxy SC 2010B Elite 64 will be two sides out of the Elite 64 Midwest that could make runs at the Champions Pool title. Toca finished atop the standings last season, and it’s back in that same position in the early portions of the 2023-24 league schedule. Galaxy finished second last year and showed its tournament ability by advancing to the semifinals at the National Finals.

Two more first-place finishers from the 2022-23 league season — STA MOSC 10B Elite 64 and Lobos Rush 10B Elite 64 — will also look to carry their winning ways into Champions Pool action.

Day 1 Game to Watch

Two teams with plenty of momentum will face off Jan. 27 when Toca FC 10B Elite 64 and PSA Monmouth 10B Elite 64 meet with a National League P.R.O. spot on the line. Toca has yet to concede a goal during a 3-0-1 start to its 2023-24 Elite 64 campaign after it finished first last season. Meanwhile, PSA — a second-place finisher in 2022-23 — is currently atop the Elite 64 Northeast after seven unbeaten games to start this season.

15U Boys

The 15U age group will include four teams that finished first in Elite 64 league play last season. Among those league winners, two teams — Lobos Rush 09B Elite 64 and Oregon Premier 09B Elite 64 — compiled perfect records with no losses or ties.

Lobos finished on top of the Elite 64 South standings with a 9-0-0 record in 2022-23, while Oregon Premier compiled an 8-0-0 record and conceded just two goals. Oregon is unbeaten through four games this season, and it will look to carry over that success to the playoffs.

Galaxy SC 09B Elite 64 compiled an unbeaten record last season in the Elite 64 Midwest, as it earned 11 wins and three draws. At the Elite 64 National Finals, it displayed an ability to earn results while securing two wins to go with a narrow defeat in penalties. That experience should help it in the Champions Pool at the playoffs.

Like Galaxy, STA MOSC 09B Elite 64 finished first in Elite 64 league play in 2022-23 without suffering any defeats. STA’s attacking prowess powered its success, as it netted 50 goals in 13 games. With that threat, it will be a handful for opponents in Florida.

Day 1 Game to Watch

Galaxy SC 09B Elite 64 and Michigan Tigers 09B Elite 64 face off on Jan. 27 to determine a National League P.R.O. qualifier. After its unbeaten run to a first-place league finish last year, Galaxy is looking to regain that form on the national stage. Meanwhile, the Tigers finished second in the Elite 64 Great Lakes in 2022-23, and it is right back near the top of the standings after four games this season. The past results for both sides suggest this should be a close matchup.

16U Boys

A strong Champions Pool field in the 16U age group is highlighted by the two championship game contenders from last season’s Elite 64 National Finals. Toca FC 08B Elite 64 claimed that title and will look to repeat its success on the national stage when it travels to Florida for the playoffs. In league play, Toca finished atop the Elite 64 Midwest standings last season, and is back in the position after four early games in the 2023-24 campaign.

Galaxy SC 08B Elite 64 fell to Toca in the National Final title game, and it also finished second to the Kansas side in the Elite 64 Midwest. After coming up just short despite strong showings, Galaxy will aim to capture the Champions Pool title during play in Orlando.

Another team to watch will be PDA Hibernian 08B Elite 64 after it finished on top of the Elite 64 Northeast standings last season. Early results this year suggest PDA picked up right where it left off, as it opened league play with three straight wins.

United FA 08B Elite 64 advanced to the semifinals of last year’s National Finals, and it will aim to make another deep run in the Champions Pool at the playoffs in Florida. One of the teams United FA defeated at the finals, Oregon Premier 08B Elite 64, will aim to get back to its winning ways during the playoffs after it finished in first place in the Elite 64 Northwest in 2022-23.

Day 1 Game to Watch

The Jan. 26 game between United FA 08B Elite 64 and Cedar Stars 08B Elite 64 will match up two teams with strong resumes from last season. While United FA finished first in the Elite 64 Southeast, Cedar Stars enjoyed plenty of success during an 11-3-0 second-place campaign in the Elite 64 Northeast. The winner will punch its ticket to National League P.R.O., so the players will be ready to go.

17U Boys

After success in multiple areas last season, Toca FC 07B Elite 64 will be a strong contender at the playoffs in Florida. The Kansas side finished first in the Elite 64 Midwest standings before advancing to the semifinals at the Elite 64 National Finals. It will look to string together more wins when it travels to Orlando.

Another semifinalist from the National Finals, Coppermine SC Boys 07B Elite 64 is competing in the Champions Pool and will look to build off its semifinal run and second-place showing in last season’s Elite 64 Northeast. PDA Hibernian 07B Elite 64 took the 2022-23 Northeast title and will be another side to keep an eye on in Orlando.

United FA 07B Elite 64 and Oregon Premier 07B Elite 64 also secured first-place league finishes in the Elite 64 Southeast and Northwest, respectively, last season. Both sides are off to strong starts again this year and wouldn’t surprise if they strung together some wins at the playoffs.

Day 1 Game to Watch

Libertyville FC 1974-07B Elite 64 and Cedar Stars 07B Elite 64 play in a rematch of a 1-0 Libertyville victory from last year’s National Finals. Each side finished near the top of its table in 2022-23 league play and will be looking to jumpstart a strong Spring 2024 season with success at the playoffs. This match will determine a National League P.R.O. spot, so there’s plenty of motivation for each team.

19U Boys

With a history on performing well in national events, Cedar Stars 05/06B Elite 64 will be a team to watch at the playoffs in the 19U age group. After finishing in first place last season in the Elite 64 Northeast, Cedar Stars advanced to the semifinal round at the Elite 64 National Finals. A narrow defeat in penalties kept Cedar Stars from playing for that title, but it has a chance to win the Champions Pool this year in Florida.

Oregon Premier 05/06B Elite 64 is another team looking to build off a first-place finish in league play last season. Oregon has followed its 2022-23 Elite 64 Northwest title by securing a 4-0-0 start this campaign so it’s heading to Florida in good form.

Another league winner from last season, Libertyville FC 1974 05/06B Elite 64 is tested in high-pressure games. The Illinois side needed every point from its 10-1-3 Midwest-winning campaign in 2022-23, when it held off two sides that finished within a game of the top spot in a crowded title race.

PSA Monmouth 05/06B Elite 64, which finished second in the Northeast in 2022-23, was the lone team to defeat Cedar Stars last year in Elite 64 league play, and it started this season with a 1-0 win when the two teams faced off. Its consistency the last two seasons should make PSA a difficult matchup for opponents in Florida.

Day 1 Game to Watch

Cedar Stars 05/06B Elite 64 has the strong resume outlined above, but it will face a challenge in its opening game on Jan. 26 against Lobos Rush 05/06B Elite 64. Lobos went 6-0-0 to start its 2023-24 Elite 64 South campaign, so it should have plenty of confidence heading into the playoffs. With a National League P.R.O. berth on the line, this will certainly be an exciting matchup.

ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 23, 2024) — Five exciting days of action at the Elite 64 Playoffs in Orlando, Fla., saw 45 girls teams qualify for National League P.R.O., while six sides claimed Playoff titles as the winners of the champions pool in their age group.

Elite 64 is the top club-based platform in the USYS National League. The Jan. 19-23 action took place primarily at Austin Tindall Sports Complex and ChampionsGate Sports Complex, and the event featured more than 160 girls teams across the 13U-19U age groups.

For the 14U-19U age groups, the Playoffs represent the first of two stages of National League events, which provide every competing team with an opportunity to ultimately advance to the USYS National Championships. The 45 teams that earned advancement to the next stage — National League P.R.O. — will play Feb. 23-27 in Tampa, Fla., for a chance to qualify to the National Championships.

“We’ve really enjoyed playing in the Elite 64 Platform. The competition just gets better and better with every game we play in,” said Coppermine SC 10G (MD) coach Sasha McNeeley after her team secured advancement to National League P.R.O. “…We’re looking to go and win when we go to Tampa. We want this. We’re just trying to pave our way and let everybody know our name.”

In addition to teams earning their place in National League P.R.O., six teams also won tournament competition within the champions pool of their respective age groups to claim Elite 64 Playoff titles. Coppermine SC led all clubs, as it claimed three of the playoff titles and finished as a finalist in another age group.

Three straight clean sheets helped Coppermine SC 11G Elite 64 (MD) claim the 13U playoff title, as it capped off its weekend with a 1-0 win over Team Boca 11G Elite 64 (FL) in the championship game. After a scoreless first half, Coppermine’s Ava Abarbanel found the back of the net in the 40th minute to put her side in front. The Maryland side relied on its stout defensive work to see out the remaining half-hour of play, as it secured the 1-0 victory.

14U Girls
A back-and-forth championship game saw North Shore United 10G Elite 64 (WI) defeat WNY Flash Rochester 10G Elite 64 (NY-W), 2-1, to earn the 14U playoff title. Madison Long put North Shore in front in the ninth minute, but Samantha Marmo equalized for WNY Flash shortly before the break to send the game to halftime with the teams level at 1-1. North Shore regained the lead in the 53rd minute on a Madeline Hammes goal, and that proved to be the title-winner, as the Wisconsin side held on for the 2-1 win.

15U Girls
Coppermine SC 09G Elite 64 (MD) saved its best performance for the title game, as it won, 5-0, against Charlotte SA 09G Elite 64 (NC). Caroline Marsh opened the scoring moments after the opening whistle, and Christiana Mitchell doubled Coppermine’s advantage with a 17th-minute strike. Mitchell later completed a brace when she finished off a move down the right wing with one-touch finish in front of goal. Catherine Ruopp added two late goals to cap the dominant showing by Coppermine that gave it the 15U title.

16U Girls
A tight title game saw Team Boca 08G Elite 64 (FL) defeat Coppermine SC Girls 08G Elite 64 (MD), 2-1, to win the 16U title. Coppermine took an early lead with an Audrey Lucas goal in the 10th minute, but Boca’s Morgan Tyrakoski quickly replied five minutes later to equalize. Midway through the second half, Julianna Liguori found the back of the net for the Florida side to clinch the win and the playoff title.

17U Girls
A third straight clean sheet for Coppermine SC Girls 07G Elite 64 (MD) awarded them the 17U title. Facing off against Lobos Rush 07G Elite 64 (TN) in the championship game, Coppermine jumped in front in the 21st minute when Samantha White found the back of the net. Sarah Ford added an insurance goal just before the end of the first half, helping Coppermine to a 2-0 victory and the playoff title.

19U Girls
After using a high-powered attack to advance to the 19U final, Libertyville FC 1974 05/06G Elite 64 IL)’s defense helped it secure the title with a 1-0 win over Madison 56ers 05/06G Elite 64 (WI). Piper Lucier netted the game’s lone goal when she found the back of the net in the 24th minute. The Illinois side’s defense quelled any late Madison attempts at an equalizer, as Libertyville held on for the 1-0 victory.

Elite 64 Playoffs (Florida) – Girls Preview

The girls kick off the Elite 64 Playoffs in Orlando, Fla., when more than 170 teams compete Jan. 19-23.

Take a look at some of the teams, games and players to watch in the 14U-19U Girls age groups during the Elite 64 Playoffs in Florida.

14U Girls

In the 14U age group, two teams to watch out of the Elite 64 Midwest — Madison 56ers 10G Elite 64 and North Shore United 10G Elite 64 — head to Florida with very similar resumes. North Shore finished atop the regular season standings last season with an 11-1-2 record, while Madison was just one point back. Both teams will be confident heading into Champions Pool play at the playoffs, as they enjoyed strong fall seasons — finishing tied on points with Top 3 performances.

Madison’s first opponent, Team Boca 10G Elite 64, has the looks of another contender to make a deep run at the playoffs. The Florida side finished first in its group last season, and it has started its 2023-24 campaign by going 6-0-0 in the Elite 64 Southeast.

After a third-place league finish last season, WNY Flash Rochester 10G Elite 64 had a strong showing at the National Finals and displayed an ability to have success in a playoff format. Fellow Elite 64 Great Lakes side Indiana Fire Academy 10G Elite 64 also had a strong showing last season when it finished second in the league standings, and the Fire will aim to find that form when it competes in Florida.

Day 1 Game to Watch

The Jan. 20 game between WNY Flash Rochester 10G Elite 64 and Lobos Rush 10G Elite 64 has a ticket to National League P.R.O. on the line. Both sides have spent significant time near the top of their respective Elite 64 regular season standings over the past 16 months, and recent league results suggest this is a matchup of in-form teams. Each side has just one defeat in league play this season, while they’ve combined for nine wins.

Following an impressive all-around showing last season, Coppermine SC Girls 09G Elite 64 will look to make some noise at the Elite 64 Playoffs in Florida. Coppermine went 9-2-1 to finish second in the Elite 64 Northeast in 2022-23. It also showed its prowess in tournament play when it made a run to the semifinals at the Elite 64 National Finals, where it came up just short of the title game by falling in penalties.

Meanwhile, Team Boca Elite 64 09G will head to Orlando after finishing atop the Elite 64 Southeast standings last season and having secured a Top-2 league finish this year. The team atop the current Southeast standings, Charlotte SA Elite 64 09G, will also compete for the Champions Pool crown following a dominant fall season that saw it go 10-0-0 in Elite 64 play.

Another team to keep an eye on in Florida will be Steel City FC 09G Elite 64. The Pittsburgh area squad went 9-2-2 last season en route to a second-place finish in the Elite 64 Great Lakes standings.

Day 1 Game to Watch

Team Boca 09G Elite 64 and WNY Flash Rochester 09G Elite 64 have each spent plenty of time toward the top of their respective Elite 64 league tables. Their Jan. 20 matchup will determine which team will be guaranteed to move on to National League P.R.O. While Team Boca has been at the top of the Elite 64 Southeast standings, WNY Flash is coming off a third-place finish last season in the Elite 64 Great Lakes. The New York side is off to a 2-1-1 start this year and will look to continue its strong play in Florida.

After a couple of runner-up finishes last season, Libertyville FC 1974 08G Elite 64 will aim to capture the Playoff title in Florida. The Illinois side finished second in the Elite 64 Midwest during the 2022-23 season, and it followed that by advancing to the championship game of the Elite 64 National Finals.

A major challenge to Libertyville and the rest of the champions pool will be Team Boca 08G Elite 64. Boca finished atop its group last season, and it is currently in first place in the Elite 64 Southeast standings. The Florida side has a perfect record and has yet to concede a goal through seven league games this season.

Fort Wayne United 08G Elite 64 has shown consistency in Elite 64 play since last season, when it finished third in the Elite 64 Great Lakes. Early portions of the 2023-24 season have seen the Indiana side move to the top of the standings with an unbeaten start through three games.

Day 1 Game to Watch

In the Champions Pool, Steel City FC 08G Elite 64 and Charlotte SA 08G Elite 64 face off on Jan. 19 to determine a spot in National League P.R.O. Last season, Steel City followed a mid-table league finish by advancing to the quarterfinals at the Elite 64 National Finals, where it played the eventual winners close in a 1-0 defeat. Meanwhile, Charlotte SA is coming off a strong recent run in the current Elite 64 Southeast schedule, as it allowed just one goal in its last five games.

Following an impressive 2022-23 campaign, Steel City FC 07G Elite 64 has the background of a team that could contend for the Champions Pool title in Florida. Steel City finished tied atop the Elite 64 Great Lakes standings last season, as it went unbeaten with nine wins and five draws. The Pittsburgh side won two of its three games at the Elite 64 National Finals to show it can succeed at national events.

Libertyville FC 1974-07G Elite 64 also finished atop its regular season standings last season, as it went 9-3-2 in the Elite 64 Midwest. Lobos Rush 07G Elite 64 will be another team to watch, as it has been dominant in the Elite 64 South the last two seasons — combining for nine wins and two draws with no defeats. Lobos heads to Florida in especially good form, having not conceded a goal through five games in the league this season.

The lone team to earn a result against Lobos in Elite 64 play this season, JB Marine 07G Elite 64 will look to carry some momentum of its own into the playoffs in Florida. The Missouri side compiled a 4-1-1 league record in the fall and kept five clean sheets along the way.

Day 1 Game to Watch

A couple of familiar opponents face off on Jan. 19 when Libertyville FC 1974 07G Elite 64 and JB Marine 07G Elite 64 compete for a qualifying spot to National League P.R.O. With JB Marine playing in the Midwest last season, Libertyville secured a pair of close shutout wins. With significant experience and success at past national events, Libertyville FC 1974 05/06G Elite 64 will be a contender to watch in the Champions Pool. Libertyville finished second in the Elite 64 Midwest last season, and it advanced to the title game at the Elite 64 National Finals before coming up just short in a 3-2 game.

Meanwhile, Team Boca 05/06G Elite 64 will be aiming to turn past league success into a string of good results in the playoffs. The Florida side finished in first in the Elite 64 Southeast last season, and it is off to a perfect 8-0-0 start during the 2023-24 campaign.

The Champions Pool features two teams that finished in second place in Elite 64 league play last season — Valor Soccer 05/06G Elite 64 and Fort Wayne United 05/06G Elite 64 — and they’ll each look to make some waves with their play in Florida.

Day 1 Game to Watch

In the Champions Pool, the Jan. 19 meeting between Steel City FC 05/06G Elite 64 and Atlanta Fire 05/06G Elite 64 will determine a berth to National League P.R.O. Steel City has shown a tendency to play close games, with 10 of its 12 league results last season decided by a goal or fewer. At the National Finals, the Pittsburgh side twice went to penalties and had its other game finish 3-2. Meanwhile, Atlanta is coming off a strong fall season that saw the Fire go 8-2-0 in the Elite 64 Southeast while averaging more than three goals per game.

National League Conference Playoffs complete thrilling girls’ weekend in Orlando

Advancing teams move on to National League P.R.O. for shot at advancing to Nationals

ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 11, 2023) — Four exciting days of action at the National League Conference Playoffs in Orlando, Fla., saw 110 girls teams across the 14U-19U age groups earn their place in the next stage of national events: National League P.R.O.

All games at the Conference Playoff took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

“What a wonderful opportunity it is for us to step outside of our state and match up against some of the best teams in the country at this event,” said Utah Surf 10G coach Brad Silvey, whose team picked up six points during the weekend. “Winning is awesome and excellent, but our team’s ability to grow and develop by playing teams from outside our region at this event is what we want.

“For them to be able to maximize their potential, they have to be challenged at the highest level.”

The Conference Playoffs represent the first of two stages of National League events, which provide every competing team with an opportunity to ultimately advance to the USYS National Championships. The 110 teams that earned advancement to the next stage — National League P.R.O. — will play in one of two P.R.O. events, with 71 teams moving on to play Feb. 24-27 in Tampa, Fla., and 71 teams moving on to play May 3-6 in Oceanside, Calif.

Two of the three defending USYS National Champions advanced to their respective National League P.R.O. event, as 14U Columbus United G10 Lions (OH) and 19U DASC Black (SD) each went 3-0-0 in Orlando.

“Having this competition at a high level is really important for us because we don’t get that where we’re from,” said DASC’s Makenzie Nelson. “We don’t get as many opportunities in playing in these big events, so when we do, we definitely want to show and get to the next level so we can possibly get another bid and go to Nationals again.”

Teams advancing to play at National League P.R.O. will enjoy a truly unique environment in American youth soccer, as the team-based (Conference) qualifiers will compete against the club-based (Elite 64) qualifiers in a singular competition to determine the National League’s representatives at the National Championships.

ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 5, 2023) — Four exciting days of action at the National League Conference Playoffs in Orlando, Fla., saw 142 boys teams across the 14U-19U age groups earn their place in the next stage of national events: National League P.R.O.

The boys’ event took place Dec. 1-4 and represented the first of two consecutive Conference Playoff weekends at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, as the girls teams will follow with games Dec. 8-11.

“It’s really cool because we think we’re the best in our state, and other teams all think they’re the best in their state,” said Landon Michaelis of defending USYS National Champion Utah Celtic FC 08B. “We all get to play each other, and it’s really fun to do — to see who’s the best of the best. It just means we’ve got to play our hardest every game.”

Both defending National Champions — 16U Utah Celtic 08 and 17U La Roca J Milla (UT) — took one step closer to earning a chance to defend their titles with their performances in Orlando.

The Conference Playoffs represent the first of two stages of National League events, which provide every competing team with an opportunity to ultimately advance to the USYS National Championships. The 142 teams that earned advancement to the next stage — National League P.R.O. — will play in one of two P.R.O. events, with 71 teams moving on to play Feb. 23-26 in Tampa, Fla., and 71 teams moving on to play May 4-7 in Oceanside, Calif.

“This game was critical for us as far as moving to the February National League P.R.O. competition,” said Juan Espinoza, coach of 14U Ponys F.C. 2010 (IL) following a win on Monday. “For us to be in that second group, it gives us an advantage to punch one of the tickets [to the National Championships] that are available to us.”

Teams advancing to play at National League P.R.O. will enjoy a truly unique environment in American youth soccer, as the team-based (Conference) qualifiers will compete against the club-based (Elite 64) qualifiers in a singular competition to determine the National League’s representatives at the National Championships.

Elite 64 Playoffs schedule set for 2024 Florida event

FRISCO, Texas (Nov. 27, 2023) — The game schedule is now available for the USYS National League Elite 64 Playoffs taking place in January 2024 in the Orlando, Fla., area.

View the Schedule

The Elite 64 Playoffs in Florida will feature boys and girls teams in the 13U through 19U age groups. The girls will take the fields first, with games scheduled for Jan. 19-23, and the boys will compete the following weekend, Jan. 26-30. The games in Florida will be played at Austin-Tindall Sports Complex, ChampionsGate Sports Complex and Heroes Park.

The 14U-19U teams paying in Florida will be competing for a chance to advance to National League P.R.O., where they will have an opportunity to ultimately qualify for the 2024 USYS National Championships.

“The first Elite 64 Playoffs event in Arizona provided a lot of great soccer and plenty of excitement for the teams and players,” said Simon Collins, USYS National League Commissioner. “We cannot wait for the remaining Elite 64 teams to get their turn to highlight their abilities and play in competitive, meaningful games in Florida that will make for a memorable experience everyone. We know these teams will continue the superb on-field displays we’ve seen already this season.”

The action in Florida will include teams from 47 different Elite 64 clubs across the girls and boys weekends. Toca FC Elite 64 08B is the lone team competing in Florida that won a title at the 2023 Elite 64 National Finals this past summer.

Teams playing in Florida are divided pools within each age group, with pool placement dependent on Elite 64 performance from last season. The Champions Pool features last season’s top-performing teams, followed by the Silver Pool (in applicable age groups) and then the Wildcard Pool. Visit the event homepage to view a breakdown of the pools.

The Elite 64 Playoffs feature a primarily tournament style schedule. The results necessary for a team to advance to the subsequent national event — National League P.R.O. — vary per pool and age group.

For teams playing in Florida that earn advancement, their National League P.R.O. event will take place in February 2024 in Tampa, Fla. At that event, they will compete against fellow Elite 64 teams and top teams from the National League Conferences to determine which sides advance to the USYS National Championships.
